One of the best parts of writing historical fiction is the research. This was taken in 2004 at the Dublin (OH) Irish Festival. Yes, that's me getting a better look at the construction of that fence.
     
Irish History and Celtic Christianity

I'm often asked how I got interested in Irish history. The answer goes back to my genealogy research. To understand one's ancestors, you have to understand the culture and history that made up part of their lives.

The ancient Irish saints I write about are not for Catholics only. They lived during the time when there was only one church. Their stories and legacies survive to teach us all. That's what I wrote about in Celtic Wisdom and what inspires my Irish historical fiction.
